Troubleshooting

Apache doesn’t server .zip files

Edit Apache config file

cat /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
<VirtualHost *:80>
 ServerName digmap-dme.yottabyte.hr
 DocumentRoot /var/www/html/digmap
</VirtualHost>

Give directory ownership to Apache

su -
chown -fR tomcat:apache /var/www/html/digmap
chmod -fR ug+rw /var/www/html/digmap

If you are running SELinux Apache can refuse to server .zip files as 403 Forbidden.  ls -Z shows the differences.  To fix it, use the following command:

su -
ls -Z /var/www/html/digmap
chcon -R -h -t httpd_sys_content_t   /var/www/html/digmap
ls -Z /var/www/html/digmap

Setting up a proxy  server settings

If you are using a proxy server it has to be enabled in Eclipse and additionally for Maven. Open Window>Preferences. Expand selection tree: General>Network connections. Either use system settings or setup manual proxy settings.  Additional expand selection Maven>User Settings. Enter user settings file name, eg.:  /home/DigMap/.m2/settings.xml User settings file content should look like:

<settings>
  <proxies>
    <proxy>
      <id>genproxy</id>
      <active>true</active>
      <protocol>http</protocol>
      <host>proxy</host>
      <port>8080</port>
    </proxy>
 </proxies>
</settings>
